We achieve the ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic Award

We are delighted to have been awarded the IFSM (International Society of Feline Medicine) Gold Cat Friendly Clinic Award. This means we have to meet certain standards for our feline friends covering:

                               Reception/ Waiting Area

                               Operating Theatre

                               Hospitalisation of cats

                               Handling of feline patients

                               Diagnostic imaging

                               And  Laboratory Standards

Our Feline Advocate making sure we meet and maintain these standards is our very own Nic Astbury Evans. Our cats now have a cat tree and screens in the waiting room and we offer blankets and Feliway spray to relieve any stress.

We also use this when they are hospitalised in a separate area from other species and give the cats boxes and hideaways, all to make them feel safe and secure. We have also  met the standards for all of the Gold Level Award including being unique in the area in having a dental x-ray machine. All of our cats have a full x-ray screening before a dental to look for root resorption which is a big problem in cats.
