MEET OUR NURSES

Cathy Edwards ANA

Cathy has been with us working as a nursing assistant since 2007 and certainly loves her job. She completed her Animal Nursing Assistant qualification at Llysfasi College in 2013. Cathy is happy to support any clients through pet bereavement.

Christine Foulkes
Christine has worked as a nursing assistant here here for over 20 years. She also runs Country Kennels and Cattery in Eglwysbach and has the experience to board animals requiring ongoing medication including diabetics.

Diane Hildreth-Osborn RVN
Diane has been a qualified veterinary nurse for over twenty seven years and has been with us for over twenty. She is very experienced and our most senior clinical nurse. Diane is also an A1 assessor and clinical coach and supports all our trainee nurses.
Diane has now successfully achieved her BSAVA (merit award) in physiotherapy and rehabilitation. She is kept busy working with our canine and feline patients improving their mobility. She works closely with North West hydrotherapy.

Jayne Gardner
Jayne has also worked as a nursing assistant at Prospect House for over twenty years. She runs the weekly puppy parties, carries out all nursing duties, plans the duty rotas and is our main pet bereavement counsellor.

Miriam Candlish
Miriam has been a nursing assistant at Prospect House since 2003 also following the completion of the Animal Care course. She enjoys all aspects of medical and surgical nursing and loves the bigger breeds of dogs especially German Shepherds. Miriam is our contact for our many work experience requests.

Nicola Astbury
Nicola has been working as a nursing assistant since 2004 and has been with Prospect House since 2008. Nic has completed her BTec 1st diploma in Animal Care. She loves her job and her passion for cats makes her purrfect for her role as Cats Protection liaison officer.
Nic is also our Feline Advocate for the Silver Award, International Cat Care. She oversees the standard of care for our feline friends at all times.

Sarah Lokier RVN

Sarah has worked as a nursing assistant for twelve years, half of this time at Prospect House. She loves all aspects of her job especially running the puppy parties. Sarah is also a Pet Nutritional Counsellor and a qualified Animal Nursing Assistant.
Sarah completed her Veterinary Nurse training and qualified in December 2020 and is thrilled to achieve this goal.

Beth Thornley RVN
Beth Thornley completed her Veterinary Nurse training at our clinic and joined our team in 2017.
Beth loves hiking in the mountains with her two dogs and also has three cats at home. She is brilliant as a fosterer for strays while we are trying to find a permanent home.

Abbie Wilson RVN
Abbie completed her nurse training with us. She joined the nursing team full time in 2018. She enjoys all aspects of nursing especially working in theatre.

Niki Harper RVN
Niki completed her vet nurse training at Glynllifon college while working at Prospect House and qualified as an RVN in September 2021. She has a particular interest in emergency critical care nursing and also in the care of exotics and wildlife.

Sophia Faux Trainee Nurse
Sophia joined the nursing team in May 2021 following Time working at the Idlewild animal sanctuary. She started her Veterinary Nursing Assistant training at Grwp Llandrillo Menai in 2022.
In her spare time Sophia loves getting out into the North wales countryside either with her dogs or on horseback

Claire Allen RVN
Claire first joined the Practice back when it opened in 1985 and was one Prospect House’s first trainee nurses. Having qualified as an RVN Claire later moved away from the area but came back to the lovely North Wales in December 2021. In January 2022 Claire rejoined our nursing team and has settled straight back in. She enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Nursing from pharmacy work to assisting in the operating theatre.

In her spare time Claire is enjoying being back in the North Wales countryside where she can walk her German Shepherd.

Eleanor McGaw Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Eleanor joined the Prospect House nursing team in February 2022. She has a keen interest in all animals and is starting her journey into the Veterinary Nursing field with ‘the Veterinary Nurse training course at Glynllifon College.

Alongside her college course Eleanor is busy working in the Practice caring for your pets. Her spare time is devoted to caring for and riding her lovely horse.
